These highly anticipated foils offer an unprecedented combination of rippability, easy pumping and endless glide that expands the potential of intermediate to expert surf, downwind and wing foilers. Simply put, these foils embody the essence of foiling.
The HA range benefits from two years’ worth of research with a leading CFD team in the hydrofoil sailboat world. A newly developed section shape, outline and profile give the HA range a remarkable “best of both worlds” ability to carve beautiful lines and easily stay high in the pumping power zone for maximum wave riding potential. Crafted from premium Toray high and intermediate modulus carbon fibre, the HA range is ultra strong, stiff and lightweight with aspect ratios from 9.63 to 9.8. For those already riding the previous generation Armstrong HA range, we recommend downsizing one foil size, for example: from the older HA925, move to the new HA780 to maintain familiar pumpability with a substantial overall performance increase. Seven sizes - 580, 680, 780, 880, 980, 1080, 1180 cm² - deliver a full quiver of options.
The Armstrong HA is a true next generation foil. Lifting easy with an almost non-existing stall point, these foil are very playful and loose to roll, pumping well and never flinching at their top end. Their designed to be surfed and make progression easy.
Not the fastest foil, these are designed for riders who want to glide and cruise on bigger sizes, or crank turns in smaller sizes
I bought the speed 180 to go along with my Ha880v2 front wing
I bought the speed 180 to go along with my Ha880v2 front wing, I had been using the glide 220 but tried a friends speed 180 and was impressed! It seems to turn better, holds more speed and glides amazing. A little twitchier but not hard to control. I’m using it for winging and love it.
Chris at Poseidon modified the ankle leash for me and attached a carabiner so I can use it on a belt. Perfect leash, no complaints and great service from Poseidon as always!
I replaced my old leash as it dragged in the water and knotted itself in to a tight ball could not kick free on the wing. This leash does not tangle when foot switching and feels good quality.
I was unsure about this product as it felt like a fad but it tucks away when your on foil and I don't hear this leash slapping the water like my longer coil surf lesh did. When I fall the lesh is long enough to keep the wing away from me. The other benefit is the line does not grab weed like my coil would. It's well made feels strong.
Great belt, hardly notice wearing it and plenty of choices for connecting. I chose to use not use the clip and used the Velcro tab from the leash attached to one of the belt loops, less weight and cleaner connection.
