Code boys coming in hot

There's something special about seeing other peoples stoke. That shine on someones face when you can see they're having a great time is almost infectious, bouncing around a session like a happy virus which creates a vibe and often connected with 'those' sessions we talk about months later.

A highlight of this week for me was seeing a gent taking big strides in his prone foil journey.
Looking for a no wind sport, coming into it as a kiter, turned winger he didn't have a surf background and quickly realised (like i did) the surf journey is quite humbling, lots happens very quickly.
After a few goes he decided to put his hand in his pocket and buy lithium rather than persevere.
Some months later he's reassessed his choice, decided to get back on the grind to glory, sold his Foil Drive and threw himself back onto a self motivated 'prone camp' here in Newquay this week.

It hasn't come easy and is awesome to see it starting to happen for him and at a sesh yesterday it was so good to see that buzz glowing as he started linking great moments.

So many analogies we can take from the story, for me a great reminder that the best things don't come easy and often the harder we work - the greater the reward.

As lucas put it - "it feels so much better because i've earnt it'

Whether it's a trick, a sport, a run or routine, there's nothing like that feeling of winning the challenging of bettering yourself.

No one likes wearing a bulky helmet, but now days you don't need to - These bad boys are flexy and soft to handle, forming to your head like a hood, even stuffing into your wetsuit bag.
But when struck hard they turn solid and protect against impact like a hard shell.

There's always going to be reservations, its definitely wise to own one.
If you aren't going to use it every day, at least you'll have it there when learning, trying new things or for the hectic, or hungover days.

As Josh and the code guys are on my mind I watched this feel good vid he put together.
Definitely worth a watch, will probably make you want to hit a downwinder.
