In a discussion last night driving in the rain after wrestling 300kg's of iron Aga onto a trailer with Freddie of Podcasting and ozone & axis fame, we wondered in this world of throw away content and AI generated attention grabbing, what is a good way to genuinely communicate with people and give them info they might be interested in when not face to face or on the phone.
I've started this newsletter as a welcomed communication change from social media shouting. Their podcast is going from strength to strength as a refreshing take on presenting the industry happenings in a genuine no holes barred manner.
We wondered, does anyone actually read newsletters? And if a newsletter was 'listenable' or 'watchable' would people prefer it?
Also what do people want in a newsletter? Do you most value product info, news, advice, special offers or opinionated mumbling, or like a balance of all of this?
Feel free to let me know what floats your boat. Maybe we could arrange guest readers.

THE FORECAST
Every day's a different day. It looks like we'll get pretty much all wind directions and strengths over the next 7 days and the only constant is a pumping W/NW swell throughout.
There's something for everyone and every sport in there, but my advice during forecasts like that is to grab a session when you can and not wait for tomorrow. Predictions and live conditions are likely to change even hour to hour.
It's also wise to check forecast updates before you head out, watching for sudden changes which could happen during your session. No-one wants to be on the news having been caught in a sudden weather change which veered the direction 15 degrees, blowing them out to sea.

KITE PARK LEAGUE ARGENTINA
The first stop of the 2025 Kite Park tour starts this weekend. It's very niche, it's very legit and riding is likely to be as very steezy. Definitely worth a follow. (click on picture for their instagram)

Tip of the week - Kiting Overpowered.
When overpowered don't fly high, drop the kite to the deck. Even though it's intimidating, When the kite is pulling horizontal it is easier to lock in and maintain a hard edge against it and drive the kite to the edge of the window to control speed and reduce apparent wind.
